An Introduction

Artists Book House (ABH) is proud to welcome a curious arrival to its online home. The contents of Goreyesque, an online literary journal featuring stories, poems, and artwork inspired by Edward Gorey, will move house, bit by bit, week by week, to this space. Goreyesque was launched in 2014, founded by ABH Board members Ken Gerleve and Todd Summar, and edited by Summar, Kori Klinzing, Jess Millman, and Howard Simmons. After a decade of dormancy, the journal has arisen from its slumber, just in time to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Gorey’s birth and 25th anniversary of his death, along with related ABH celebrations…to be revealed at a later date. In the meantime, join us here each week as we reveal more content from the Goreyesque archives.
